MEETING MINUTES

10/7/2008

Marty Glenn opened the meeting at 7:02 pm.

Meeting minutes from the September meeting were gone over and approved.

A very brief re-cap of the September event at Bridgeport was discussed. Jeff Lyons then passed out checks to the winners.

Jeff Lyons gave the financial report stating that the club has a total ending balance of $1189.52 and an available balance of $879.52. The big bass pot is at $280.00 and will run until our final tournament for the year in December.

Bob Pasternak gave a brief overview of a local big bass tournament held on Lewisville where our club just missed out on winning a $500.00 check for the club having the most entries in the event. He also discussed The Colony Bass Club’s open tournament on Lewisville on October 25^th and a big bass event to be held on Lake Grapevine on October 18^th.

This month we will be fishing Moss Lake using the South Ramp. Tournament hours are 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. We will be using a 14” minimum on all species. All other statewide regulations apply.

Jeff Lyons volunteered to be this month’s tournament director. His cell number in case you have a problem and need to reach him is 817-403-0594.

Drawings were held for pairings for the Moss Lake event this Saturday. Jeff Lyons drew the boater/non-boater pairings.

Lakes for the remaining year remained as November – Quitman and December –

Monticello.

President Marty Glenn gave a reminder to everyone about being safe and helping out others and to also remember this club is about having fun and friendship.

Rusty Robbins suggested to Marty that he contacts the paper to try and get another article in to promote the club and to bring in some new members. Marty agreed.
