MEETING MINUTES

5/5/2009

Marty Glenn opened the meeting at 7:10 pm.

Meeting minutes from the April meeting were approved.

Marty gave a brief talk again about safety on the water and the importance of life jackets and just the plain use of some common sense. It only takes a second for something to happen so always be prepared while on the water.

Jeff Lyons was not present so the financial report was not available at this time. Also we will get the winners their checks from the April event as soon as Jeff is available. Jonette Stewart collected this month’s entry fees and will get them to Jeff.

Bob Pasternak gave a brief explanation of a problem that could arise on boats using a hot foot throttle. Also he will be working along with the other officers on coming up with a fun event for the club possibly in conjunction with our summer picnic. If anyone has any ideas just email them to Bob.

Dave Stallings collected money for this month’s trash fish contest.

This month we are fishing Lewisville which has a 14” limit. Bob will have everyone’s weigh-in slip at the scale when you weigh-in. All bass including spotted bass must measure 14” to be a legal catch.

Jason Porter volunteered to be this month’s tournament director. His cell number in case you have a problem and need to reach him is 972-841-8631.

Drawings were held for pairings for the Lewisville event this Saturday. Kerry Kiker drew the boater/non-boater pairings. There will be 12 boats fishing.
