MEETING MINUTES

12/2/2008

Marty Glenn opened the meeting at 7:05 pm.

Meeting minutes from the November meeting were approved.

A very brief re-cap of the November event at Joe Pool was discussed. Jeff Lyons then passed out checks to the winners.

This month’s tournament scheduled at Monticello was cancelled due to everyone having holiday commitments. It was voted on for 2009 that our schedule will start in February and end in November. A classic will be held two weeks from our final tournament in November. The date scheduled was 11/21/2009.

A brief discussion about the banquet was held. The date selected was 1/11/2009 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The location will be finalized by Marty and Jonette. The members agreed to have the club give each member a small gift card to be used towards the purchase of their meal that evening. Jeff Lyons will be purchasing gift cards of various amounts to be given away at the banquet as door prizes. The club may also be selecting one prize of greater value to be awarded as a grand prize. The goal is that every member walks away with a prize that night.

A 2009 schedule was finalized and will be posted to the website.

The classic was discussed and approved with final rule approval to be voted on at our January meeting. Once finalized, these rules and requirements will be posted to the website. I will be posting a “Classic coming in 2009. Details soon” message to the website to let possible new members know that we will be having a year end event in 2009.

The meeting concluded around 8:15 pm.
