MEETING MINUTES

6/2/2009

Marty Glenn opened the meeting at 7:00 pm.

Meeting minutes from the May meeting were approved.

Marty gave a brief talk again about safety on the water and the importance of life jackets and just the plain use of some common sense.

Jeff Lyons gave the financial report and he stated that the club has a total balance of $1774.39 and an available balance of $1066.39. Big bass pot for the year is $380.00. The balance for the Rusty Robbins year end classic is $328.00. Also winning checks were presented to winners of the last two events.

Robbie Millam of Dobyns Rods gave a brief talk about their rods and offered all club members a 40% discount on a purchase of a new rod.

Dave Stallings collected money for this month’s trash fish contest and presented last month’s winner with the trash fish pot.

The club decided to hold our fun tournament on August 16^th at Grapevine Lake. It will be a 3 fish no cull event with rules and partner drawings to be held at the August meeting. Details will be coming soon on the picnic which will be held in conjunction with this event on the 16^th of August at the lake.

This month we are fishing Grapevine which has a 14”- 18” slot limit. Bob will have everyone’s weigh-in slip at the scale when you weigh-in. All bass including spotted bass must follow the slot. Paper all fish within the slot and measure to the closest 1/8”.

Mike Aaron volunteered to be this month’s tournament director. His cell number in case you have a problem and need to reach him is 214-697-5468.

Drawings were held for pairings for the Grapevine event this Saturday. Mike Thornton drew the boater/non-boater pairings. There will be 9 boats fishing.
